Hexham Beaumont Street and surrounding areas

The Regiment will march through Hexham, formally parading it’s Colours for the final time prior to redesignation as a Depth Fires Rocket Launcher Regiment within the Deep Recce Strike Brigade Combat Team. In addition to commemorating the Regiment’s rich heritage and history as a Close Support Artillery Unit, the ceremony will also provide the opportunity to maintain close community ties with the local area and the wider North East.

The parade starts from 10am, when the marching contingent leaves Chisholm Place for Beaumont Street.

The 3RHA exercises its Freedom of Northumberland at 12pm until 1.15pm.

Full road closures will be in place on Beaumont Street and St Mary’s Wynd, from 6am to 11.30am. Access will be maintained for residents of St Mary’s Wynd until 9am.

Market Street will be fully closed from 10am to 11.30am. Access will be maintained for businesses and residents until 11am.

Moot Hall Footway will be closed from 11am to 11.30am.

No waiting restrictions will be in place and all parking restrictions will be suspended on Beaumont Street and St Mary’s Wynd with ‘no waiting’ traffic cones, from Friday, July 15 at 5pm to 11.30am on July 16, or until the parade has finished.
